Why did disney get rid of all the good shows.?

i remember shows like the little mermaid, the adventures of winne the pooh, ducktales, outta the box, chip and dale rescue rangers, house of mouse, recess, and lots more. i know that you cant keep the old shows forever but you dont need to ruin characters with the learning stuff why. i mean look a pooh bear. what the heck happened to christopher robin in the super sluth pooh bear. instead we get someone named darby and a knock off of dora the explorer. and mickey is just a variation on it. disney seems to have lost all its adventure in shows. the outta the box was a fun way for children to learn yet it was like an adventure. why doesnt disney bring something thats not all about learning. i mean the old shows you leearned stuff through the lessons that the characters learned from there adventure in that episode. so why does disney give us this learning cr*p for then?

I watched a Taiwanese movie called the eternal summer... Does taiwan really look like that?

The movie, even in scenes in taibei looked like downtown mainland Chinese cities in the early 80's/ areas remote from the downtown of mainland Chinese cities.... The buildings and homes were dirty and worn down. The streets weren't as motorized as I thought. They used bicycles alot like mainland china. I have to make a car type of thing out of a mousetrap any ideas on how?

I have to make a car that can travel 8 feet with out my pushing it, no ram, no water, no air i can only set it off. I had high blood pressure before becoming pregnant, amazingly it's gone down since I got pregnant. Most of your numbers sound ok but that 160 would bother me too. If they put you on bp meds, I'd take them and not worry. My sister's bp was high during pregnancy and she started to leak amniotic fluid. I'm not trying to scare you, but taking the meds is better for you and the baby. Try not to stress or worry too much about it though, because that's bad for you and the baby too. It won't change it either. Just take your meds, try and relax (easier said than done, I know) and don't sweat the small stuff. Just concentrate on being as healthy as possible for your little one.

Install charging on go kart engine?

I have a motorized cooler that came wiht a 1HP 30cc engine. I replaced the engine with a 2.5HP 89cc engine I bought from Harbor Freight. I installed a CD deck and 4 speakers on the cooler with 20 NiMh D cell batteries powering it two sets of 10 in a series to get 12V. Anyways I would like to mount a generator or alternator on the motor but don't want an automotive one since its so large. I would greatly appreciate any help on how to go about doing this. Would I be able to use a starter from a Seadoo as a generator? and if the batteries are connected to the starter wouldnt it just spin? Thanks in advance for your help!

Book Recommendations?

1984 is very, very good if you're into dystopias, and The Count of Monte Cristo was pretty cool. I had to read it for English so I don't know if I would have picked it on my own, but there's lots of hidden identities and poison and revenge and adventury stuff like that. :D (It's about 700 pages full length, so I reccomend the abridged version unless you like really long, wordy books.)

Yes I did,and I think It's not a great idea.You see,bicycle is not designed to withstand extreme speed.While motorcycles design is made for high speed control.If you want a bicycle,go for the manual one.It's slower but safer and more fun to drive and you get healthier every time you use it,cheaper running cost.Practicality ? Not really.For example in my town,there's no bicycle parking lot,so when you leave your motorized motorcycle,be sure to lock it somewhere.I usually hand it to my friend who owns a shop.You can't just park your vehicle on the sidewalks or something,the police will take it off.So It's not practical.Plus if you use manual bicycle,It's lighter so It's easy to hand it to your friend whe you want to park it inside your friend's shop.

My friend made me obese?

I know all the details because my friend confessed and told me all this yesterday. So im a guy, 15 and it basically started last year when my friend started lending me some money when I forgot my wallet so I could buy a snack from the vending machine. Then he started coming with me to the vending machine and offering to pay for my snack everyday. He then started buying me two snacks everyday even though I didn't ask and just said I could pay him back next time we went into town or something. So for a few weeks he would buy me two or three snacks everyday and needless to say the increase in calories was beginning to show. My friend said it really started when this happened as he saw me in swimming and noticed I looked chubbier. But it got worse over the next few months, he started buying me more and more snacks and with an increasing appetite and him being so nice I just happily ate. Every two weeks we would go into town to mcdonalds and he suggested an eating contest where the winner got to eat all the food and the loser had to pay for it. As I was getting bigger I always won and found myself eating 5 extra large big macs, fries, ice cream and feeling generally stuffed by the end. At school he would buy me extra snacks to take home and for the weekend in case I got hungry. When I went round to his house he always had plenty of snacks in and we always pigged out, me especially as I got bigger I began to lose control of my appetite, there was a point where I knew I was putting on weight, but I felt so hungry that I wanted more. On my birthday we spent the day in town shopping, I asked if we could get lunch and snacks but he said no, I moaned all day about how hungry I was but he said we wern't eating. Then when we got back to his house he had 3 birthday cakes, biscuits, chocolate and eclairs and said it was my birthday feast which I devoured like a pig. By new year of this year I had just hit the 200lbs mark. As of today I weight 230lbs. Yesterday was our annual yearly fitness test. Not surprisingly there was a lot to say for mine considering I can barely jog now. My teacher told me I had gained 80lbs in a year and my fitness had gone from average weight to morbidly obese. These words made me and my friend stop and think. I had been happy being overweight and he didn't mind making me fat. But when I told him I was morbidly obese and how much I weigh he said it was time to stop, he had just wanted me to get a bit fat for fun but it had got out of hand and now it had to stop. Now what do I do? I know most of you will say lose the weight but any advice?

You don't have to worry about "riding" the clutch like you would in a car. Have a Saab 9.3 convertible and the motor which unlocks the 5th (locking) hoop has died. How do you unlock it?

Have tried to power the motor independently of the car's elctronic control, to no avail. The motor seems to be either jammed or broken. As the convertible toneau is currently up, there seems to be no way to unlock the compartment as access to the motor and locking mechanism depends on being able to get the cover down. Classic catch 22. Sabb dealers in Australia are 1500 km away and they (by phone) seem unwilling or unable to provide any magic solution as to how to unlock the motorised catches holding the cover shut. Help!

Jensen VM9311TS 7 Inch LCD touch screen - Ipod Connection Issue?

My friend has a Jensen VM9311TS 7 inch motorized LCD touch screen deck for his truck, and earlier I had been changing songs quite rapidly on it, when it decided to start jumping all over the menus and then refused to play any sound via the iPod connection, it preferred to just start playing the songs over and over and over again, with no sound, the timer just kept restarting, so we were testing it and the radio works just fine and the speaker works just fine, its only the ipod connection that refuses to play sound, upon leaving it for an hour or so, when he restarted his truck the song counter was at 10 hours and then it jumped to zero, then started rapidly climbing from 0 minutes to 10 minutes to 20 and so forth till it reached 100 minutes, then it restarted back at zero... so basically I need to know why it refuses to play any sound from the ipod.. thanks

Hello, I looked at both. I would advise you to save your money a little longer as you will be disappointed in either one of these. Look for a minimum of 2 horsepower ( one was 1.5 hp and the other 600 watts converts to 8/10 hp ) as it is heavy duty enough to last a lifetime. Also look for power incline and one that lets you input weight for total calories burned. Search the classified (and craigslist) in your area. Good Luck

Lawsuits involving Pharmaceutical Company and Doctors who push the drug.?

I was given some drugs due to something I battle. Instead of the Dr tweaking a med he added more and more. The drug caused me to injure myself several times. Each time I was hurt to the point that I went to the ER on several occasions. When I told them what I was experiencing, they always said that was nothing that had been noted in the side effects. Don't they realize when these drugs are tested on X amount of people that does not include how it affected you. I was not part of that study so I am sure someone somewhere experienced what I went through too. This drug has a class action lawsuit out because it cause some people to become Diabetic. My injuries were severe. I would take the drug and the moment I stood I felt like I looked like I was having a seizure. I had no control over my legs so I would fall. I would have no warning when this would occur. I fell on concrete, into a glass Eterge (I did not get cut) but the entire thing' came down on top of me. I was fortunate I had not been cut. My legs felt like they were spaghetti. Once while in the kitchen it happened. I held onto my sink and not even that could break the fall. These episodes would last between 1.5-2 hours. I live alone so I was on the floor until it passed. The only thing I had use of was my arms. If I raised my head to do that, I would feel everything swoon and down I'd go (noteI was still on the floor) So you know if I could not lift my head a few inches, standing was not about to happen. The Dr I was told had overdosed many of his patients. This man had me taking about 35+ pills a day. Even other Dr's knew I had been over medicated when they saw the list of medicines I was on. However I never had any side effects until I took that 1 drug. I had to go to Walmart. I knew that drug was in my system so I grabbed the little cart you sit in to shop. I shopped and was heading out of the store. I flipped out of that motorized chair and the first thing to hit that concrete was the back of my head. An ambulance was called, they took me to the hospital. When the ER Dr's saw me their on my 4th to 5th trip, the ER Dr never came into the room. He told the nurse I was discharged and no Catscan was done. He told me to go & take Tylenol I was beyond pissed because the episode had ended and there was no proof. I was too scared to sleep that night (worrying about a concussion) I knew this particular Dr in a sense because I am disabled and it was his nephew that caused that, So by right he had NO Business even seeing me. What could I do but leave. The last visit to the hospital was the most horrific. I had fallen while standing at a bus stop. The bus was coming and the driver saw me fall directly on my knees. Ppl jumped off the bus to help me stand but my legs would turn into spaghetti. They literally had to surround me on all sides to help me on the bus. Odd thing ~I was going to a Dr app't at the hospital. I was not there to see the Dr who gave me the drug. The bus driver had me sit in the front and kept an eye on me. Periodically she would ask me "Are you ok" I really could not even speak..because I was holding onto the pole there by my seat till I knew if I raised my head I would have landed on the bus floor. You see this was the 1st time I had fallen be forced to sit up. So that pole help me in place but I had to loop my arm around it. When we arrived at the hospital, the bus driver said you sit still I am going to help you. I dropped again. When they stood me again I was surrounded by 4 people.and flipped totally out of their grip backwards, hitting my head on the floor. Since we were in front of the hospital she called for an ambulance to come around the corner and pick me up. They came & got me & I returned back to that same ER not even 24 hrs later. Another Dr read my chart, walked in and said I am going to grant you your wish. He told me to "find myself another hospital to go to and not come back there! They sent me to a Stress Center across the street. What? Here I'm falling all over the place, & no one is checking my injuries because it had not been noted by the Pharmaceutical company as a side effect -so I had to be crazy! No I was not nuts whatsoever. Even the Stress center could not figure out why they sent me across the street to their facility. And you know - I fell there too. Yes I am going after the Drug company, The 2 ER Dr's and the Dr who put me on all those pills and that part will just have to be addressed but the main thing is that last drug he placed me on. What ticks me off is I was told not to stop taking it. They are the ones who's nuts. It was either continue the drug and fall. or stop taking it. This all occurred in November.l I live in Indianapolis Indiana. I have not done a thing as of yet, I will however be looking for and Attorney. So for all out there who hate ppl for suing is it my fault? I trusted a Dr. The Dr pushed the drugs The ER was simply wrong and violated m

I have heard that in Las Vegas, for instance, some people are so fat that they ride around in motorized scooters. Moreover, I know of relatives in my family and they seemed to pack on quite a few pounds in just several years. What of all the skinny guys back in, say, 2006? Are many more people, including men, just getting plain fatter, dumber and lazier in general? Is it getting to the point where monstrous couch potatoes are becoming normal and acceptable? It would also appear that, because of the worsening obesity epidemic, people are getting lazier. Quite apart from all the video games, cellular phones, internet and a host of other technological gadgets. Also, due to obesity, people are getting dumber since fat people have less brain tissue, on average, than their thin counterparts. Tell me I'm wrong or right.

Border collies are amazing. Great herders and great for herding cows, horses, goats, and sheep. They will be your work partner and your very best friend. I'm not a big fan of rough collies. I know that persians are usually friendly but are extremely independent and aren't fond of being held. Abyssinians are great, as are American shorthairs. I know nothing about horses. Guinea pigs are cool. They're very social and usually love people, rather easy to care for. If you're going to get a guinea pig, you pretty much have to get two. Good choice on the rabbit. Lops are adorable and great rabbits. I personally have a Florida White and a broken Red Satin. Holland lops are great rabbits from the lop family and are a great choice for a first time rabbit...if this will be your first one. Having a farm takes a LOT of work and a lot of cleaning, tons of devotion, and tons of time. In the end, it's worth it.

I know all the details because my friend confessed and told me all this yesterday. So im a guy, 15 and it basically started last year when my friend started lending me some money when I forgot my wallet so I could buy a snack from the vending machine. Then he started coming with me to the vending machine and offering to pay for my snack everyday. He then started buying me two snacks everyday even though I didn't ask and just said I could pay him back next time we went into town or something. So for a few weeks he would buy me two or three snacks everyday and needless to say the increase in calories was beginning to show. But it got worse over the next few months, he started buying me more and more snacks and with an increasing appetite and him being so nice I just happily ate. Every two weeks we would go into town to mcdonalds and he suggested an eating contest where the winner got to eat all the food and the loser had to pay for it. As I was getting bigger I always won and found myself eating 5 extra large big macs, fries, ice cream and feeling generally stuffed by the end. At school he would buy me extra snacks to take home and for the weekend in case I got hungry. When I went round to his house he always had plenty of snacks in and we always pigged out, me especially as I got bigger I began to lose control of my appetite, there was a point where I knew I was putting on weight, but I felt so hungry that I wanted more. On my birthday we spent the day in town shopping, I asked if we could get lunch and snacks but he said no, I moaned all day about how hungry I was but he said we wern't eating. Then when we got back to his house he had 3 birthday cakes, biscuits, chocolate and eclairs and said it was my birthday feast which I devoured like a pig. By new year of this year I had just hit the 200lbs mark. As of today I weight 230lbs. Yesterday was our annual yearly fitness test. Not surprisingly there was a lot to say for mine considering I can barely jog now. My teacher told me I had gained 80lbs in a year and my fitness had gone from average weight to morbidly obese. These words made me and my friend stop and think. I had been happy being overweight and he didn't mind making me fat. But when I told him I was morbidly obese and how much I weigh he said it was time to stop, he had just wanted me to get a bit fat for fun but it had got out of hand and now it had to stop. Now what do I do? I know most of you will say lose the weight but any advice?

I don't read much young adult fiction. The story sounds good. You have a strong premise. My only concerns being such a large group of characters to deal with as well as the fact that they are teenagers. A few years back I used to lie on my time sheet at work and put more hours than I actually worked and so i got paid more money than I earned. What's wrong with my small engine?

I bought a motorized bike from someone last summer. It was custom built. I believe the engine on it came from a gased remote controlled helicopter. That's what I was told from a friend. I believe I mixed the gas with to much oil last yr and it sluged up and leaked out of the exhaust. It would not go top speed. When I tried it, it kept jerking and wouldn't wanna go faster. I'm 18 and all I have is my parents car, but I burn a lot of their gas driving around a minivan for only myself, and I don't have enough money for my own car. It has been awful for the 48 team ever since they got put with the 88. I know the 48 is doing better in the points than he would of last year right now but he needs to be getting more wins before the chase. I think it is Jr that is getting in the way of the 48. They run almost the same set up every week and Jr is basically now running wherever the 48 is running. They are even starting right next to each other for tomorrows race. Rick Hendrick also tells Mark Martin, Jeff Gordon, and Jimmie Johnson to let Jr pass them when he is running behind them. As long as Jr stays in Hendrick none of the other drivers there will be able to win only unless Jr gets taken out in a race early. Rick and NASCAR wants him to win so bad now that they will pretty much do anything when coming down to the final laps. I do know all the Jr fans (basically everyone) are gonna flip out on me because of this question.

We have a million inside jokes, and he comes over to my house a lot (We're 17, don't drive, and both have watchful, careful parents.) He is slowly getting over his ex girlfriend, whom he was with for 4 months and feel way too deeply in love with. It has been 3 months since their break up, nearly 4. Can a welder cut a 1 1/4" receiver from my hitch and weld a 2" receiver into it's place?

It can certainly be done. You might have a hard time finding somebody to do it because of the liability issues, since you're adding a bigger receiver to a hitch that is not made for it. A 2" receiver requires a 5000 lb V5 hitch to be legally attached to the vehicle, which is why I think you'll have trouble getting a shop to do this. You could try advertising on craigslist to see if you could find a local welder willing to do it.

As is car check by deal has fuel leak?

My fiancee traded in a reliable 93 ranger for a 97 monte carlo. We were told by the dealer that the car was checked and it only had an exaust leak. We took the car to a local mechanic four days later and he said the exaust was snapped off near the headers, but the gas leak was really bad. The top of the gas tank had rust spots all over. We took it to the dealer and they said the didn't know about it, so either they lied about getting it checked out or they lied bout knowning about the gas leak. The gas tank has two hand print sized wet spots that smell of gas from the top all the way down the left side. What is ironic is that the car was at the same mechanics not too long ago. The mechanic said they would change the oil if the didnt already last time it was there. So the dealer said he would try to help. But im wondering if its against Indiana state laws to sell any motorized vehicle with knowledge of a fuel leak? And what should we do if they wont pay if we dont have the money to fix it?

Question for parents of teen age boys only please.?

My son is almost 15 years old. He is a good kid, involved in 3 competitive sports, has good friends from good families but.... he and his friends have started to try alchol. It started about 7 months ago to the best of my knowledge. Another factor here is that his dad committed suicide about 18 months ago. Now I know this is not a reason to do what he is doing because the other boys are not in his situation and are doing it. He swore to me the last time he was caught that he had stopped. He will tell me when his friends do it and that they need to make better choices. I thought things had changed with him until yesterday when I found a small airline size bottle in our trash can. He had friends over the day before and swore that it wasnt his that it must have been one of the other boys. We went back and forth for several hours about if he was still doing it. Finally he said that he had done it a few more times since he had told me he stopped. How do I deal with this? He is in counseling and I know that it is a peer pressure thing that he has to learn to deal with but it is tearing me up inside...he is better than this. Its not every day or even every week, I keep a pretty tight reign on him. I'm glad he finally confessed and was honest with me but I'm not sure how much more I can control his life without keeping him on lock down and not allowing others into our home. I don't have any alcohol in my house anymore due to this very reason. Someone brought it with them. Any advice would be great!

What happens to Christians who sin and die before they get a chance to confess their sin or repent? Do they go to heaven or hell? It really boils down to this. We all agree that God has forgiven us of our past sins. Has he also forgiven us of our future sins? Is it really absolutely necessary to confess acts of sin in order for them to be forgiven? Or would Jesus forgive them anyway if we continue to believe on him?

since i was a child i have always been very curious and avid to learn new things.... i have akways been brighter then my peers, not bragging ........up until the 11th grade and now i was a catholic..... not a religious FREAK but just a normally faithful roman catholic. however in 11th grade ,i stopped going to church.. partially because of our economic status and because church in our new town was only help in the evening.. from 7:00 p.m to 8:00 p.m...... we had work during the time and my parents worked and i worked because i was 16 and had a work permit... was making 11 dollars an hour.... My parents urged me to study things becuase when i am 20 in 3 years i hope to go to a university. So i read books at a local library ..books on anything i could find useful like physics and human phsycology.....during my endless hours of study and thinking ..i came upon the concept of religion... in the books they talked about how the human brain sometimes fooled itself... this curiosity eventually led me to a website called 'godisimaginary.com"... There it ruined all my religious faith.... it proved religion wasn't worthy.... IT WAS A RDE AWAKENING!....... i have become a agnostic/atheist since then but i feel so unhappy ,i put in so much care and love into my catholic faith ,had my first comunion and confirmation... confessed myself about 6 times .....and that website just totally tore my religious beliefs in half ....it proved every little faith and belief i wrong. I was taught in catholic school and by relative to thank god for every day i lived and realize every day was another gift from god...i would pray every night thanking god and now ..it has been shoved down my throat that it is all a lie! .....i feel especially sorry for a couple of "jehovah's witnesses" who were knocking on doors at 6:00 a.m today ,handing out papers in the rain.... i feel as if i used to be happier and took pride in everything i did, and now i fell dull knowing that god does not exsist. I also fear losing my beloved memories. and i also know that my brother who was in the marines who was killed by insurgents on march 18 ,2006 in Al-Fallujah, iraq is not in heaven and our memories together as kids playing with our toys and all the times he helped me when i was sad ,that is no longer there and he is long gone, i cried for weeks but im pretty stable now, i have seen a phsycologist and he told me i was a very intelligent boy ,he said i was very normal he said to contact him if i had thoughts of suicide but i would never commit suicide, life is delacate and precious. can someone please tell how i can feel better or possibly be re converted into a catholic? i doubt it but please help!
