Does my dog have scabies?

I took my Weimaraner Rufus for a day out in the dales on Sunday and ever since we returned he won't stop scratching. My suspicions are raised by the fact he was frollicking in a field close to some sheep. I would prefer not to bother with expenses vet fees so can someone do me a diagnosis online?
