I work for a national organization and I need to get a license plate for a work trailer. Can I do this?

I work for a national organization based somewhere on the east coast and I need to get a replacement license plate for our work trailer. The trailer is registered to the organization's name and not to a single person. I am just an intern. Can I go to the CA Department of Motorized Vehicles as a representative of the organization to get a plate for the trailer?
