My boyfriend confessed he had feelings for an ex while drunk?

Is it possible there is truth behind this? He got drunk at a party and told EVERYONE he still had feelings for another girl he had a very short relationship with. I wasn't there, but I heard from many people including him. He swore there was zero truth behind it...what should I do?
